We Asked 2,000 Employees About AI. What Came Back Wasn't Fear.
1 October 2026
We surveyed our 2,000+ workforce across four countries about AI at work.
Nearly all of them answered, and what they asked for was wider access.
What our AI adoption survey found across offshore teams in four countries
Fewer than 7% of our people are concerned AI will negatively affect their role, and 68% say it has already improved their work.
We surveyed our 2,000+ workforce across four countries, asking how people actually use AI at work and what gets in the way. Nearly 2,000 answered, close to the entire surveyed population rather than a self-selected group of enthusiasts. The number surprised our CEO and founder, Andy Schachtel, enough that he shared it publicly.
The most common thing people asked for was access to more tools, at 30%. Questions about data security came second, at 20%. We read that as demand rather than resistance. People who have seen AI improve their work want to go further with it.
Our teams work inside client systems under client security policies, and which AI tools they use on an account is the client’s decision, as it should be. Our part is making sure they’re ready for whatever a client approves. If you’ve been weighing whether to extend AI tools to your Sourcefit team, this survey suggests they’re ready, and we’re glad to help you think through where to start.
Look at what people use AI for today. Writing and documentation, 37%. Research and analysis, 30%. After that the numbers drop. Data handling sits at 6%. Quality review and validation, under 5%. In a business where accuracy is the product, checking and validating work is something AI does well, and few people use it that way yet. We see that as the biggest opportunity in the data.
Internally we sort into three groups. AI Champions, about 45%, use the tools regularly and report real gains. The Cautious Middle, roughly 30%, use them occasionally but hold back, mostly because they want clearer guardrails. Late Adopters, the remaining quarter, use AI rarely, and the most common reason isn’t distrust, it’s that AI doesn’t obviously apply to their specific role yet.
The next gain comes from the people already using AI taking on more complex work with it. We’re starting with training, and we plan to run this survey again and publish what changes.
