What the rate includes. Every rate above is all in. It is the employee’s salary and statutory benefits, passed through at cost and itemized on your invoice, plus our flat $395 management fee. The fee covers legal employment and an HR team on the ground, recruitment, an i5 computer with dual monitors and headset, 24/7 IT support and a secure managed network, security certifications and insurance, training and quality, client success management and the Knit workforce platform. There are no setup, recruitment, workstation, exit or team transfer fees. Where the work suits it, output-based pricing is also available, built on the same transparent framework with the unit price calculation shown.
That is typically 50 to 70 percent below the fully loaded cost of the same role in the US.

Frequently asked questions
-
What web technologies and frameworks do your developers use?
Our teams are experienced in React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Python, PHP, .NET, and other modern frameworks, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
-
How much does web development outsourcing cost?
Sourcefit’s web development rates are $1,250 a month for entry level, $2,000 for mid level and $2,700 for senior web developers, per full-time employee working from home. Office-based staff add $100 a month. Each rate is all in: salary and benefits at cost plus the $395 management fee. There are no setup, recruitment or exit fees. Where the work suits it, output-based pricing is also available, built on the same transparent framework: we show how the unit price is calculated, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
-
Is the management fee added on top of these rates?
No. The fee is already inside every rate on this page and on every quote. A $1,250 rate is about $855 of salary and benefits at cost plus the $395 fee. You will never see the fee added to a rate you were quoted.
-
What is included in the monthly rate?
Legal employment and compliance with an HR team on the ground, recruitment, an i5 computer with dual monitors and headset, a 24/7 IT help desk, a secure managed network, our security certifications and insurance, training and quality, client success management and the Knit workforce platform. For office-based staff it also covers the seat, office network and utilities.
-
How quickly can Sourcefit build a web development team?
Most web development roles are recruited, interviewed and onboarded in two to four weeks. Niche frameworks can take longer. You interview and choose the web developers.
-
Who manages the team day to day?
That is your choice. Most clients manage the team directly: the web developers report to your managers and work inside your processes and tools, with Sourcefit handling employment, HR, equipment, IT and quality support behind them. If you would rather not manage day to day, our Sightline model builds an autonomous team with its own Sourcefit team lead and quality layer that delivers against agreed SLAs, while still reporting directly to you and working to your KPIs, not ours. Sightline is quoted separately.
-
Can the team work inside our existing systems?
Yes. Web developers work in your repositories, CMS, hosting and project tools, such as GitHub, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, AWS and Jira, under your access rules. You keep ownership of every account, and access is revoked the day someone leaves.
-
Is web development outsourcing secure?
Sourcefit holds ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701 certification directly, is PCI DSS validated, has a SOC 2 report, signs HIPAA business associate agreements where needed and operates GDPR-aligned data handling. Home-based staff work on company-managed computers over a VPN with traffic routed through Cloudflare.
-
What happens if we want to bring the team in house?
The team is yours. If you decide to move them to your own entity or take them with you, they go with you. There is no transfer fee, buyout or conversion charge.
-
Dedicated web developer, agency or freelancer?
A freelancer suits a small, well-defined task. An agency suits a complete build with its own project management and QA, at a price that reflects both. A dedicated developer suits ongoing work: a site that keeps changing, an e-commerce platform, integrations, performance and maintenance. The developer works in your repositories and tools, reports to your lead, and the rate is a flat monthly figure rather than a quote per change request.
-
Can an offshore developer work on our existing site and codebase?
Yes. Most of our web development work is on existing sites: feature additions, plugin and theme maintenance, migrations, refactoring and performance fixes. The developer starts with a code audit so you both know what you are working with.
-
Who owns the code, the design files, the domain and the hosting?
You do. Repositories, cloud and hosting accounts, domains and CMS licenses are all yours from day one; the developer gets named access that you control. Nothing is built in a Sourcefit-owned account, so there is no lock-in.
-
What technologies should I expect a web developer to know?
We recruit to your stack. The common ones are React, Angular, Vue, Node.js, Python, PHP and .NET on the code side, WordPress, Shopify and Webflow on the platform side, and AWS, Azure and Google Cloud for hosting. You tell us the stack and any certifications you need, and candidates are tested on it before you interview them.
-
How is quality assured before launch?
A definition of done you agree with the developer, code review in your repository, cross-browser and device testing, performance checks and accessibility review. For larger builds, a dedicated QA engineer can be added to the team. Security updates and backups follow the schedule you set.
-
Will the site be built with SEO and AI-search best practice?
Yes. Semantic markup, structured data, heading hierarchy and page speed are part of the build standard, and migrations are planned to preserve pages that already rank. If you want the page content itself optimized for answer engines, that is a content role we can also staff.
-
How do we communicate, track work and handle change requests?
In one system, yours: Jira, Trello, Asana or whatever you already use. The developer joins your standups or sends a daily written update, and changes are estimated and approved in the tracker before they are built. There is no account manager between you and the developer.
-
What post-launch support do we get?
The same developer stays on the site after launch for maintenance, updates and incidents, at the same monthly rate. That is the practical difference from an agency build, where support after the warranty window is a new contract.
-
How does the time zone work?
Shifted hours give three to four hours of overlap with a US day; Australia and the UK overlap naturally. Many clients use the gap deliberately: brief at the end of your day, review in the morning.
-
How do your developers use AI tools?
As assistants, with human review. AI accelerates scaffolding, tests and reviews, and the developer is accountable for what ships. We do not deliver AI-built sites without a developer who understands them.
