Inside Sourcefit’s Halloween Celebration: A Day of Fun, Community, and Connection
Halloween isn’t just about costumes and candy; it’s a time for coming together, celebrating creativity, and building community. This year at Sourcefit, we took Halloween to a new level, blending family fun with meaningful moments that made everyone feel part of something bigger. Whether it was through the excitement of trick-or-treating or simply sharing a meal, this day reminded us of the value of togetherness and joy in our workplace culture.
The Warmest Welcome
As guests arrived, our friendly team ensured registration was a breeze. The atmosphere was set by our energetic hosts, Kim Detera and Fender Delos Santos, who kicked off the event with a warm welcome. They guided everyone through the day’s activities, from musical shows and science experiments to food stalls and photo ops. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it didn’t take long for the Halloween spirit to spread through the crowd.
CEO Andy Schachtel’s opening remarks were a heartfelt reminder of Sourcefit’s commitment to community and family. He spoke about the importance of creating spaces where both work and celebration come together, and how events like these help us bond beyond our roles. His words resonated with everyone present, bringing a shared sense of pride in being part of the Sourcefit family.
Halloween Fun for All Ages
One of the event’s highlights was watching the kids come alive with excitement. They were divided into four groups, each given Halloween treat buckets by Andy before embarking on their trick-or-treat journey. It wasn’t just the kids who got into the spirit—parents and colleagues enjoyed seeing the children showcase their costumes and fill their buckets with goodies from our decorated stations.
Blippi, Ms. Rachel, and the Nutty Scientist Take the Stage
A Halloween party wouldn’t be complete without some live entertainment. Blippi and Ms. Rachel brought joy to the young ones with an interactive musical show that had everyone singing and dancing along. The Nutty Scientist followed up with an engaging science experiment that fascinated both kids and adults. It was a reminder that learning can be fun, especially when mixed with a little Halloween magic!
Celebrating the Best in Creativity
Halloween is a time to let creativity shine, and our Best in Costume contest did just that. From spooky zombies to quirky characters, participants brought their A-game. Congratulations to our kids’ and adults’ winners, who wowed us with their imaginative costumes! The office decorating contest also showcased incredible team spirit, with themes ranging from “True Crime Stories” to “Zombie Apocalypse.” The creativity and effort put into these displays truly brought the Halloween spirit to life.
The event concluded with closing remarks from HR Director Reggie Legaspi, who thanked everyone for their participation and highlighted how events like these reinforce our commitment to a supportive and inclusive community. As everyone gathered at the food stalls, families shared laughs and stories over delicious, Halloween-themed treats. It was the perfect end to a memorable day.
Events like these are more than just fun days on the calendar. They’re opportunities to create lasting memories, build stronger connections, and foster a culture of camaraderie and inclusion. At Sourcefit, we’re proud to host celebrations that bring our community closer and allow us to truly live our values. Until the next celebration, we thank everyone who made this Halloween unforgettable!
