Estimator
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in landscaping or civil construction to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quantity takeoffs, a solid understanding of landscaping plans, and proficiency with Bluebeam Revu software. You will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for various landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Quantity Takeoffs:
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from landscaping and civil construction plans using Bluebeam Revu.
- Accurately measure and quantify all materials and labor required for projects.
- Estimating:
- Build comprehensive bills of quantities using Benchmark Estimating Software (training will be provided).
- Collaborate with the Senior Estimator to review and verify quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Assist in preparing competitive and accurate project estimates within designated timeframes.
- Plan Analysis:
- Interpret and understand project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
- Identify all elements required for accurate estimating, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Communication:
- Prepare and send email requests for quotations to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Follow up on quotations and update estimates accordingly.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal team members and external partners.
- Documentation:
- Organize and maintain records of all estimates, takeoffs, and associated documents.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and easily accessible for future reference.
- Process Improvement:
- Provide feedback on estimating processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the landscaping or civil construction industry.
- Strong understanding of landscaping construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu software for digital takeoffs is essential.
- Experience with estimating software; familiarity with Benchmark Estimating Software is a plus (training will be provided).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Competencies:
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in preparing estimates.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Quantity Surveyor Estimator
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a solid background in commercial construction. This role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for various large-scale commercial projects, including schools, community centers, and apartment complexes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Australian construction landscape, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Expertise in industry-standard software, such as Cubit Pro, is highly desirable, although candidates with a strong aptitude for similar tools are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive and precise bills of quantities and cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate closely with builders, architects, and developers to align estimates with project budgets and goals.
- Utilize Software (Cubit) to develop detailed cost analysis and reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, especially for tender submissions, where meeting deadlines is critical.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Australian construction standards, regulations, and industry practices.
- Provide consistent communication and reporting to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimating within commercial construction, focusing on projects like schools, community centers, and large residential buildings.
- At least 1 year experience in Australian commercial construction projects, with a keen understanding of local building codes and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in Cubit Pro or similar estimating software. Familiarity with global quantity surveying practices (e.g., RICS accreditation) is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes. A demonstrated history of efficiently adopting new software solutions is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information.
