Email & Marketing Automation Specialist - Contract

The Email & Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing automated marketing campaigns for Avalaunch Media and their clients. The Specialist will also be responsible for supporting sales of marketing automation services as needed. This position requires a person with a proven track record of developing and creating targeted, hyper-relevant, and on-point emails, SMS, and automated funnels. A successful candidate must be passionate about executing precise campaign flows, communication/nurture streams, dynamic campaigns, and impactful reporting.

  • Establishing a range of automated marketing campaigns based on various
    client needs and criteria.
  • Reviewing existing marketing campaigns across client’s business objectives and automating where appropriate to maximize overall efforts.
  • Creating automated nurture streams/flows to qualify leads for all clients.
  • Ensuring all platforms within the scope work to communicate with each other to remove discrepancies and streamline automated process/flows.
  • Implementing lead scoring practices inside each marketing automation
    platform to enable higher conversions of quality leads for our clients.
  • Implementation of a marketing automation platform for clients.
  • Carrying out A/B testing on automated marketing campaigns to maximize
  • Developing detailed wireframes of all marketing assets that are part of any automated campaign.
  • Segmenting audiences and optimizing campaigns to increase the effectiveness of marketing automation services.
  • Reporting on all campaigns and making changes and or optimizations where necessary.
  • Client reports will be generated based on agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments at Avalaunch Media to ensure automated campaigns achieve company goals.


  • 2+ years of previous experience using Marketing Automation platforms such as Hubspot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, and Marketo.
  • Strong analytical mindset and an ability to analyze campaigns in real-time and post-production.
  • Good understanding of marketing automation B2C and B2B strategies.
  • Relevant industry experience would be a strong advantage.

Virtual Assistant (Contractual)

  • Administrative and Creative Support:
    • Efficiently manage the CEO’s calendar and email, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimized time management.
    • Facilitate communication between the CEO, team members, vendors, and clients to streamline project execution.
    • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements and logistical tasks as needed.
    • Support the daily requirements of content generation, including social media posts, presentation decks, and design inputs.
    • Assist the team in executing client projects by overseeing deadlines and deliverables. Occasionally interact with clients to provide project updates.
    • Proactively engage with the online community through social media channels to boost brand visibility and customer engagement.
    • Support ongoing projects and podcast content creation through focused research and data management.
    • Apply technical skills in video and image editing to enhance content quality.
  • Digital Marketing and Text Campaigns:
    • Execute the sending of text messages through our organization's system to engage potential political donors, fundraisers, and supporters.
    • Monitor and report on the volume of text messages sent daily, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
    • Perform analysis of message open rates and campaign effectiveness to gauge ROI and impact.
    • Make strategic pivots on messaging to optimize underperforming campaigns, applying a data-driven approach.
    • Track and report on the overall performance of campaigns, identifying trends and insights to elevate to leadership for strategic decisions.
    • Show readiness to evolve into a supervisory role, overseeing a team responsible for digital marketing, fundraising, and text campaigns.
  • Personal and Administrative Support:
    • Manage and coordinate work and personal calendars, ensuring no scheduling conflicts and optimal time management.
    • Oversee basic social media activities, including but not limited to posting, content creation, and engagement, responding to direct messages and comments, and scheduling posts in advance.
    • Utilize CRM systems for client management: inputting new contacts, tracking key milestones, updating notes, and ensuring all reminders and tasks are executed by the team.
    • Conduct comprehensive research on potential clients in various markets, preparing detailed customer profiles for review and action.
    • Assist with personal projects such as organizing wedding photos, making travel accommodations, and planning social events.
    • Perform general data entry and ad-hoc research tasks as needed to support various projects and initiatives.
