A Path to a Greener Tomorrow

On September 14, Sourcefit launched Soilmate 2024 in partnership with the Philippines’ Million Trees Foundation, Inc. (MTFI), bringing our shared vision of a greener future to life.

With 120 passionate volunteers rolling up their sleeves, 1,100 trees were planted at the La Mesa Watershed as part of the Annual Million Trees Challenge, each sapling fulfilling our collective mission of nurturing the environment and combating climate change.

Soilmate, an annual tree planting campaign, is part of Sourcefit’s commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Life on Land and Climate Action.

The Power of Community

Excitement was in the air as volunteers gathered at dawn, eager to contribute to a meaningful cause. Upon arriving at the La Mesa Watershed, they were met by the MTFI team, who discussed tree planting and safety guidelines. Each tree planted symbolizes unity and a shared purpose—planting the seeds of hope for a healthier Earth for generations to come.

The day’s efforts resulted in:

• 147 tons of carbon sequestered. Each tree planted absorbs carbon from the atmosphere, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.
